Open roles
We do not keep a permanent list of openings, and we would rather say so than publish a page of roles that are not really being hired for.
Write anyway. If you are good at something this product needs, the message is worth sending whether or not there is a posting. We read every one, and we answer — including to say no, which is the answer most of the time and is still better than silence.
What we look for
People who finish things. The hard part of this product is not the first version of a feature, it is the fiftieth week of it working for someone who depends on it.
People who talk to coaches. Everyone here should be able to describe a real coach's Tuesday. If a decision cannot be explained in terms of somebody's actual week, it is a decision made for the wrong reason.
Taste over volume. We would rather ship four things that are right than twenty that are nearly.
How we work
The team is small and remote-friendly across European time zones. Work is organised in short cycles with a shipped result at the end of each. There is no on-call rota performed for its own sake, and no meeting that could have been a paragraph.
We build in public where we can: the product changelog and the journal are written by the people who did the work.
